Homemade Yogurt Pops.

(apparently i go from no posting at all, to finding time on my lunch hour to post every day.  if i remember to bring my camera, i'll be able to share pictures of life and its goings-on around here.)

I've been in the process of making up a grocery list, to use each week, or however often I go to the grocery store.  I always write things down, and bring the list, but I feel a bit disorganized so I wanted to create something in Word or Excel.

One of the categories is Treats.  You know the yummy kind.  This summer, I am sure Max will be introduced to popsicles.  I have no problem with that.  Most of those on the market are all sugar and fake sugar.  As active as Max is, I am not at all worried about his weight, but I am worried about nutrition.

I did some surfing over at allrecipes, and found a healthy treat, yogurt pops.  Dont these look yummy?

This recipe doesnt call for anything other than what you have in the house.  I love it.  I seriously might not wait until Summer.  I think once I get the popsicle molds -or even yet, just use dixie cups - Max and I will be partaking in a little blueberry yogurt pops.  Or straw + blue-berry pops.  Or MANGO!!!! Ooooo, yum!

Living Room Wall Inspiration.

I've always admired the giant canvas pictures that people have on their walls, or you see in a gallery or museum.  I've always wanted to get one (or a few) for my house, though I could never commit to a photo.

Nor the price.

They are a bit expensive.

I'm in the process of doing some major-much-needed redecorating in my house, and I think its time to bite the bullet and purchase one, if not two of these.

Enter Plywerk.  They are an eco-friendly 'canvas' printing company.  However, their canvases are actual wood.  Martha had them in her March publication, so I checked it out.  I'm impressed.  Small business, excellent.  Eco-conscious, excellent.  Pricing, a bit cheaper than traditional canvas, excellent.

So come this summer, I imagine I'll have a two giant pictures on my living room wall.  One similar to the curly head kid in the upper right, and one similar to the newborn in the upper left.

Cant. Wait.

Fan.

I am a big fan of magazines.  Especially ones that make things look pretty, easy, chic, and the list of objectives can go on.  I was a subscriber to Domino back in its day.  Loved it.

Then the market crashed.  Then magazines stopped publications.  Especially this one.

However, Conde Nast has found some funds to bring its 'most missed' mag back to its readers...Special Editions.  Unfortunately at nearly $11 a pop.

Maybe I'll splurge, but right now I'm just excited to see it again!

Again.

Again its happened.  Where I've been taking pictures, have stories I want to share, but then I find no time to actually follow-through.

I am going to blame the whole Making A Human thing.

Literally, I go to bed at 7:30p, no sooner after I put Max down for the night.  My weekends are spent doing things that I usually do during the week.

To say the least, this is frustrating and annoying.  Especially when I have some cute valentines to show you, some cousin love and my thoughts on the Winter Blues.  Hopefully this weekend.... Hopefully.

In the meantime, here's a picture of Max reading at the library last weekend.  Ok, he really isnt reading, and he sat in the place for like a minute, after he exhausted himself running up and down the aisles screaming!  The head librarian was laughing the entire time.  (Thank heavens!)

What happens at my house after dinner.

This is what happens at my house after dinner is made, served and I've cleaned up the kitchen.  We, or I should say he, laps the kitchen table.

Tonight he would purposely fall and I would yell, in that squeaky voice, 'WIPEOUT!'...and that would give me the belly laugh I love to hear.  I am a bit biased, but his laugh is so cute its contagious!

These are his new shoes.  Over the weekend I found that his foot was out of room, altogether.  Meaning to a point where his toes were constantly curled under.  Poor guy.  These werent what I was looking for initially, but after a long ordeal at one store, and knowing I had to get him shoes, we settled on these.  They've grown on me, and when I ask Max, 'what does the dinosaur say?', he replies, 'Roar!'.  So cute!

snow!

Some shots from Max's first real experience with snow.  There was last year's blizzard, though he was clueless.  This year, much more fun...laughed each time he fell into the snow (and of course couldnt get up because of all his gear!).
